Unlacquered Brass is raw brass that is polished and left unlacquered allowing for natural aging over time. Often referred to as a “living finish”, unlacquered brass will take on a patina that will vary with exposure to sun, touch, oxygen and other airborne particles. It will age unevenly.
Care: Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. A microfiber cloth can be used to remove fingerprints. Clean using liquid soap and water or a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. DO NOT soak the product in the solution. Dry after cleaning.
Lacquered Brass is protected from the natural aging process, it should not be polished.
Care: Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. A microfiber cloth can be used to remove dust and fingerprints. Wash it in mild lukewarm suds, rinse it with lukewarm water, and wipe it dry. If the water is too hot it may remove the lacquer. Do NOT use vinegar, this may damage the lacquer.
Nickel Plated Brass has a silver tone that tends to the warmer side of the color spectrum. It is a composition of nickel plating over brass.
